I am a Director of Engineering at Instacart, leading the Order Experience team. In my current role, I am responsible for ensuring our customers have a seamless and enjoyable ordering experience on the platform. This includes predicting inventory, providing suitable replacements, and making it easy to collaborate with family members. I am also focused on building a user-friendly checkout experience, complete with order tracking, management, and shopper communication. With over 3 years at Instacart, I have a strong background in building hyper growth product teams and a passion for engineering, product development, and entrepreneurship. I have honed my skills in areas such as machine learning, data science, recommendation systems, search algorithms, and ranking and relevance. Prior to joining Instacart, I went through the experience of starting, growing, and shutting down a startup, which has given me valuable insights into how to do it better. In my free time, I enjoy mentoring aspiring engineers and entrepreneurs, as well as participating in Plato groups to share my knowledge and experiences with others. I believe in the power of mentorship and am always looking for ways to give back to the community. Overall, I am driven by a desire to constantly learn and grow, both personally and professionally, and am excited to continue making a positive impact at Instacart.
