Having managed several folks going through the transition into parenthood, and gone through the same transition myself, I've found there are plenty of questions and unknowns that come up throughout this experience - many of which I wish I had known when I was managing parents, but not one myself. From talking to your employer about pregnancy to dealing with the uncertainty around delivery, handling and returning from parental leave, managing childcare commitments and setting boundaries... it's a lot. (And that's when things are going well...) 2020 has thrown a wrench into all of this, of course, making it an extremely difficult time to be a parent - and a tricky time to be in a leadership role with parents on your team who are struggling. Let's talk about all of this!
