Circle Description
Be the change you want to see in the world, right? Well, I want to see a world with more computer programmers who don't need a computer science degree, but are passionate, intelligent and get the job done well. I want to see a world with more female coders and more Latinx coders. I want those who previously thought they couldn't say, 'Yes, I can!' This Circle is for people who are looking to get their first job in tech. You can be a CS student, bootcamp grad, someone interested in learning if coding is your passion, etc. If you have any of the following questions, I can help you: - "How do I know coding is right for me?" - "How do I make the jump?" - "What are good resources?" - "What do I study? What IS a coding interview like?" About me: I transitioned into tech and have now been a software engineer for five years. I'm very grateful to all the people who supported me along the way (and continue to support me!). I'd like to pay it forward. On July 20, we'll be lucky to have three other individuals join us who also transitioned into tech. Bios below: Darryl Auguste is an analytics and online marketing specialist with 10+ years of experience in the technology industry. He currently serves as EVP of Strategic Projects at EverQuote where he's responsible for leading high priority, high value projects across the organization from idea phase to implementation. Prior to this role, he served as SVP of Analytics & Online Marketing where he was responsible for the company's consumer acquisition and retention marketing strategies for the previous 6 years. Over that time, he built the teams responsible for driving over 10 million consumer visits per month to EverQuote's websites through a data-centric marketing approach as a member of their founding executive team. He also maintains an active role in collaboration with EverQuote's People Operations team on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives aimed at creating an increasingly diverse community within EverQuote, as well as serving as one of the co-founders of Ev
